50 Cats

This project explores the endless possibilities of visual interpretation by depicting the same subject—cats—through 50 unique forms. Using only black-and-white compositions, I experimented with abstraction, geometric reduction, texture, and pattern to challenge the boundaries of representation. The goal was to push beyond the conventional depiction of a cat and explore how form, line, and negative space influence perception. Some iterations simplify the feline silhouette to its most essential shape, while others deconstruct it into unexpected geometric or organic elements. Each cat takes on a distinct character and presence by varying techniques such as stippling, line weight, and solid black fills.
